Fédération Aéronautique Internationale
The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), also known as the World Air Sports Federation, is the world governing body for air sports and for certifying world aviation and space records. The FAI was founded in 1905 and is a non-governmental and non-profit-making organisation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
FAI activities include Aerobatics, Aeromodelling, Airships, Amateur-Built and Experimental Aircraft, Balloons, Gliding, Hang Gliding, Helicopters, Manpowered Flying, Microlights, Parachuting, Paragliding, Paramotors, Power Flying and all other Aeronautic and Astronautic sporting activities.
Fédération Française de Vol Libre
The organization of these World Paragliding Acrobatics Championships in France, in the Annecy basin, is a recognition of the significance of this discipline within the French free-flying federation.
Our young champions are amongst the top placed in the world rankings thanks to a team, trainer and framework that has succeeded in creating a spirit that is serious and collective.
I hope that we will have a superb spectacle, and that the results will live up to our expectations.

National Center for Sport Development
The CNDS is an administrative public body under the sports minister, whose missions are defined by article R411-2 of the sports law, which specifies that the CNDS notably contributes to:
- The development of the practice of sport by the greatest number,
- Access to high level sport and organization of sporting events,
- Reinforcing the supervision and the professionalism of sporting practice.

Ville de Doussard
The town of Doussard, commune of 3,600 inhabitants, nestling between lake and mountains is one of the gateways to the new territory “the sources of Lake Annecy”.
It welcomes numerous tourists in all seasons, happy to live for a while in an protected environment where nature is accorded its full place.
Available are numerous camp sites, the port, the beach, the lake, the large agricultural and protected natural spaces, the ramblers paths, the alpine meadows, the rivers, and the cultural and heritage events. It’s also the great sporting possibilities, free flying and the Vorget landing area.
Taking off from the Forclaz, flying, then landing in Doussard is, for the experts, “solo or tandem”, moments of completeness.
The beauty of the sites, the conjugation of the elements, the professionalism of the pilots, the fun … and magic happens!

Les Passagers du Vent is located at the Perroix landing field in the village of Talloires. It offers tandem flights, beginner and intermediate lessons, as well as an e-shop.
The team is there to welcome and advise you the whole year round in their shop wholly dedicated to paragliding.
Our experienced pilots will take you on a paragliding voyage of discovery during a tandem flight over Lake Annecy and its surroundings.
