Training sessions and opening ceremony

Opening ceremony was a great success. It started with a beautiful flight of 15 paragliders each of them carrying one of the 15 flags of the participating countries of the competition.
1st paraglider was a tandem with a disabled person in a buggy.
Then all pilots came ontp the stage, under their nation’s flag.
Speeches by officials, in particular the mayor of Doussard, supporting institutions, FFVL (french federation), to finish with a speech by Louise Jocelyn, official representative of the FAI, who declared the championships open!
A great ceremony, then aperitif and dinner for a great day.

“We had a blast, we had great conditions. Two glides straight into the “box” to start with.
We managed to get in some great stuff. After that we flew at least one hour over “Le Roux” mountain, following six, seven acrobats who were making nonstop moves.
You can’t do that every day. It will be harder during the runs. We will try to do the maximum. We will optimize the pilot’s movements when they are not competing, those who want to fly again after their run. We will see. ”

LIVE – 20:00
- 19:00 – championships are officially declared opened by Louise Joselyn, representing FAI.
- 18:30 – opening ceremony starts with 15 paragliders landing each of them with the flag of the country participating!
- 17:00 – training just finished
- 10:00 – coffee time and getting prepared for training
PROGRAM
- 10:00-12:00 -> Training session.
- 14:00-17:00 ->Training session and safety selection
- Opening ceremony at 18:00
- Doussard Communal Hall (“Salle des fêtes”) located next to official landing zone for paragliders in Doussard. Link to google maps.
